Sir Philip Anthony Hopkins (born 31 December 1937) is a Welsh American actor of film, stage and television, and a composer. His most notable role is Hannibal Lector in The Silence of the Lambs, and has also appeared in films such as The Lion in Winter, Magic, The Elephant Man, 84 Charing Cross Road, Dracula, Legends of the Fall, The Remains of the Day, Amistad, Nixon, The World's Fastest Indian, and Fracture.
Anthony Hopkins has portrayed Odin, King of Asgard, in Thor and Thor: The Dark World.
