Avengers: Age of Ultron is an upcoming superhero film based on the superhero team the Avengers, slated for release on May 1, 2015.[1] The sequel to 2012's The Avengers, the film is set to be directed by Joss Whedon again, who after initial indecision,[2] announced later to return to write and direct The Avengers 2.[3]
On October 6, 2012, a rumor surfaced that Ms. Marvel was to be added to the cast of The Avengers 2. Actresses Emily Blunt and Ruth Wilson are supposedly both considered for the role.[4]
It was announced that Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver will be the new members of the team. Later in the year, it was announced they would be portrayed by Elisabeth Olsen and Aaron Taylor-Johnson respectively.
In December 2013, it was revealed that Baron Wolfgang Von Strucker would be in the movie. In January 2014, it was revealed that actor Thomas Kretschmann would play him.
In February 2014, it was revealed that actor Paul Bettany, who voices Tony Stark's personal AI JARVIS, would portray android superhero The Vision in the film.
Premise[]
While S.H.I.E.L.D. is fixing itself up, Tony Stark is handling peacekeeping. In that regard, he creates Ultron to be the ultimate hero. However, Ultron ends up being a major threat. The Avengers must stop him.
