Samuel Leroy Jackson (born December 21, 1948) is an American film and television actor and film producer. He has appeared in over one-hundred films, with some of his notable roles including Jungle Fever, Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown, the Star Wars prequel trilogy, Shaft, Kill Bill Vol. 2 and Inglourious Basterds.

Jackson's first appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe was a post-credit scene in Iron Man, and reprised his role in Iron Man 2. He appeared in a post-credit scene in Thor and at the end of Captain America: The First Avenger, had his largest role in The Avengers and had a cameo inMarvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and will reprise his role in both upcoming Captain America: The Winter Soldier and The Avengers: Age of Ultron.
